Countless memories, wackee 6, laughing til our stomachs hurt, firehouse, late-night chats, heart and soul, awkward comments, high school, silly arguments, inside jokes, settlers, DC, good times, best friends...some things never change.

~spring~
I love the seasons!!! I could never pick a favorite...there's so many wonderful things about each one. Right now I am especially enjoying my beautitul Cache Valley and all its springtime blossoms! It's been a long time coming this year, but everything is finally in bloom and the colors, scents, and textures are absolutely gorgeous. I am thankful for God's creations. After attending the temple several days ago I walked the grounds to see all the flowers, and my favorite tulip tree. This past weekend I drove (my last drive in my Corolla...sigh...I'm still in mourning) out of the canyon, around the foot of the Wellsvilles, and into a breathtaking view of my home. I was biking up to Green Canyon a couple weeks ago when I passed a man driving his tractor down the road, wearing a suit! I went for a run tonight on the foothill roads behind my house and watched the sunset over the fields, all bright green from the rain. Is there a more beautiful, peaceful place to live in this world?!

Farewell, my dear Toyota Corolla
Today my beloved car of 5 years was taken from my life in a metal-crunching accident. Have no fear, other than some scratches and bruises, everyone involved is fine. This morning Jake was planning to drive down to Bountiful with his buddies Kyle, Brad, and Tim for a friend's mission farewell. He asked if we could swap cars for the day so he could save some money on gas. About 15 minutes after Jake left in my car, I was getting ready to leave for church in his truck when I heard my mom answer the phone and ask the all-to-familiar question at my home the past month, "Is everyone ok?!" Jake had just picked everyone up and was headed down Main Street going 55mph when another car turned left in front of him. He slammed on the brakes leaving 30ft skid marks, but he couldn't prevent the hit. My parents and I hurried over to the scene where I documented the remains of my totaled car. I am extremely thankful that nobody was seriously injured, and it really was a complete accident. However, there is still some sadness in my heart for the loss of my dear red, standard, 2002 Toyota Corolla. Goodbye my dear friend, you will be missed!
The scene of the crime.
Airbags: check.
Front view.
Kyle's banana also received some slight bruising upon impact.
Kyle, Brad, me, Jake, Tim, and my poor car.
Back view: no damage.
The tow truck, arriving to take it away...
There it goes :-(
*sniff sniff*
A sad, sad day indeed.
The boys watching my dear car being towed away, while Jake asks me what in the world I'm doing taking pictures at a time like this.
