The weekend of September 19th, I had my first experience with a typhoon! We were all really hoping it would be on Monday so they would cancel school...but no such luck. The worst of the storm came through on Sunday, so they canceled church instead. The typhoon hit the southeast part of Taiwan pretty hard, but we are on the west side of the mountains so it really wasn't that exciting here in Fengyuan. It was super windy in the morning, and the quiet was a little creepy with no traffic or people outside, but it hardly rained at all until the next day. The best part was the amazing cloud formations. I took some pretty sweet pictures from our roof. Anyway...we survived :-D

Zippin' around Taichung!
Plan B: take the train to Taichung and rent scooters there. Success!
Why yes, I'm pretty excited about my pink helmet!
Ready to rock it! Check out the fun traffic...
A perfect day for a scooter ride in Taiwan!
A perfect day for a scooter ride in Taiwan!
The six of us had a great day exploring Taichung! Erin, Meg, me, Laura, Libby and Lien. We chose to eat at the restaurant with lots of windows behind us to the right. Out seats were swings!
More Kindergarten!
Meet my second Kindergarten class! I teach these four on T/Th from 5:00-6:30: Joyce and Lucina (sisters), Eva and Shelly. They are the most adorable girls I've ever met in my life, and I absolutely love spending time with them!
All I can say about these pictures is cute, cute, cute! They have the sweetest little smiles and the cutest personalities ever!
